Q: I am using a projector and the projected image doesn't look very good. What's wrong?
A: Your computer may be set to a different resolution than your projector 's resolution. It is always best if the resolution selected in your display settings matches your projector. Check under Control Panel / Display / Settings. If you're not sure what resolution your projector is, just switch your display settings and see if the image improves. Although most projectors will project an image when the computer is set to a different resolution, the quality of the image usually degrades.
Additionally, it is best if your computer display's horizontal scan (refresh) rate is set to a particular value rather than "optimal". For instance, we have found that with 800 x 600, the best settings are 60, 72 or 75.
If text is still not clear or pixels are "dancing", try adjusting sync or phase. Most projectors have a reset. You can always start over.

Q: What does it mean if a projector has a 2,000 hour lamp life?
A: 2,000 hours is the expected life of the lamp. For most projectors, the lamp will be half as bright as its original lumen rating when this expected lamp life is reached. The projector's lamp life could be more or less than advertised, depending on how the unit is used.
